You’ll need to turn off safe limits (on WinCNC) and potentially use a longer tool holder like a 100mm length.

.266” (17/64) Diameter HSS Drill - Clearance Drill for 1/4-20 Hardware

  • 4300 RPM

  • 13 IPM (.003” FPT)

  • Pecking: Deep Drilling, Full Retract

    • Pecking Depth 0.2

Do not drill into steel with CNC - you want to be just shy.
