240% Upgrade to our CNC Router
We finally did it — we made our own Auto Tool Changer Rack (ATC) for our ShopSabre CNC router and increased the tool capacity by 240%.

Since making this video in 2021 we have products to upgrade your ShopSabre router — Dust Boot and Modular ATC Pedestals.
Upgraded — 12 tools
Problem: Our ShopSabre CNC router has been really good to us but we've always had two problems:
- Dust collection is sub-par
- The 5-tool changer rack was never enough tools.
We are maximizers and I felt we had a good concept to improve the design and even come out with more tool capacity than what was offered. And now that we have this shiny new CNC mill, we could knock out whatever we needed for hardware between our machines.
Let's go through the project from CAD design in Fusion 360 to machining these aluminum pedestals and installing it all on the router.
