Shop Coordinator AKA Office Coordinator
Job Description
We’re looking for someone who can keep customer support, quoting, and purchasing organized so orders move smoothly and the shop stays stocked.
Location: Our SE Portland ShopHybrid possible after training.
What you’ll do
- Handle customer support and sales inquiries by email and phone
- Reply to customer inquiries about orders, products, and lead times
- Digest and respond to RFQs and build quotes in Airshop
- Solve order issues as they come up (address changes, cancellations, shipping mistakes, etc.
- Order materials, fasteners, packaging, coolant, filament, and shop supplies
- Request quotes, place purchase orders, and track inbound shipments
- Keep simple inventory counts so we don’t run out of key items
- Schedule training sessions and follow up on inquiries
- Update notes, spreadsheets, and project status in Airtable/Google Docs
- Coordinate projects and make sure nothing gets lost
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a coordinator, dispatcher, customer service, or purchasing role
- Strong written communication and solid email habits
- Comfortable staying organized and juggling tasks without dropping details
- Basic familiarity with Google Workspace
- Curious about manufacturing or making things
- Reliable and independent
- Capability to learn manufacturing and our product details
- Bonus if you’ve used Shopify, Airtable, Help Scout, or Veeqo
Pay & Hours
- Start: $22–25/hr depending on experience
- Pay increase after a 60-90 day review period for strong performance
- Part-time or full-time depending on the person
- Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, roughly 9–5 with some flexibility

CNC Operator / Shop Maker
We are looking for someone to add to our CNC routing shop. Our focus is on high-quality CNC routing and design. Most of our projects are in wood or non-metallic materials.
Job Description
The ideal candidate would have a background in CNC operation and working in a woodshop.
An added bonus if you have CAD design (Fusion or Rhino), or CNC programming experience. Any combination of these skills is acceptable for applicants, however. Most importantly we are looking for the right person who is hungry to learn, has a tenacity to problem-solve and complete tasks on time.
Primary Job Tasks
- Operate our CNC router
- Manufacture parts via CNC and traditional shop tools
- Material handling
- Post-processing: Trim router, roundover edges, assemble parts, sanding, some light finishing.
- Learn to modify and ideally setup CAM programming
Experience
- Experience operating a CNC, we use WinCNC
- Woodworking background preferred
- Big bonus if you have CAM experience, especially Fusion 360
- Must be able to lift, carry, and load onto CNC bed full-size sheet material (80lb)
- Great job for a student looking for experience, internship a possibility
- Must be 18 years or older

CNC / CAD Summer Intern
We are looking for an intern for our CNC routing shop. Our focus is on high-quality CNC routing and design of all types. This position is for the summer (May-August) but could continue indefinitely if the right fit.
